I was born and raised in Montana, surrounded by wide open, unencumbered space. My father, a residential builder and a fine woodworker, was my inaugural influencer followed by my mother who had impeccable taste for all things classic - clothing, furniture and wallpaper. At a very young age and on any given day, you would find me at my Dad's shop or at one of his numerous building sites observing meticulous carpentry, asking for work, or rummaging around for materials to build something - anything. Through years of art education and the influence of many talented art instructors, I developed and honed my esthetic eye, problem-solving skills, abstract thinking and keen sense of design balance. At Montana State University, I studied architecture for two years before navigating to business marketing which led to a 20+ year career as a marketing and art director, working closely with a team of experts to create successful brand and advertising campaigns for many U.S. and international corporations (Big Sky Ski & Summer Resort, Bridger Ski Foundation, Outdoor Industry Association, LaFuma, Deuter, Backpacker's Pantry, Werner Paddles, Kavu, and many more.)
In 2006, after marrying a like-minded outdoor enthusiast turned residential realtor, I took my side gig in interior design to a new level by investing in real estate and long term investments. Together, we buy, remodel and hold multiple properties throughout Colorado (8 to date) and most recently we purchased a 1920's cabin on Colorado's St. Vrain River.
As a designer, I embody my family’s design/build history, decades of art education, an associates degree in Interior Design, interpersonal relations, and project management. I working closely with other complementary skilled professionals to help clients identify their own individual style and ultimately create spaces that feel open and inviting and bring them joy.
